第一次包五角糭

第一次包糭好像是我讀中三的那年.  舅母剛學會包廣東糭, 興致勃勃的叫我一起去包.  後來媽媽見舅母會包, 她也要包, 於是在家裏也試做了一次.  從此以後就再沒包過廣東五角糉了.

新馬的糭都是四角的, 比五角的容易包.  我奶奶以前每年都會包娘惹糭, 味道又甜又鹹, 我從來不吃的, 但Daddy一家都愛吃, 偏偏他們對鹹肉糭沒興趣, 所以我也沒機會包.

近年奶奶身體不好就沒再包糭了, 我也就連包四角糉的機會也沒有. 

今年決定一定要包一些糭來過節, 星期三就是端午節了, 所以就算剛從馬來西亞回來, 也要立刻開工.

小試牛刀, 只預備的二十隻的份量.


二十幾年前學的包法都忘得一乾二淨了, 還好現在科技發達, 上Youtube找一下就找到示範了.

開頭慴角真的很難, video裏示範摺角的那幾秒我來回看了好多次才懂, 可能我太笨了. 除了摺角我忘了, 其他還記得, 就沒角看下去. 

開始那幾次包得笨手笨腳的, 後來熟了就好多了.  只是包完再看回那video才知道可以有更好的包法, 我包的是用三片葉, video教的是用四片葉, 包出來更工整更好包.  而且video也說不可以綁太緊, Oops, 我綁得太緊了. 


挖出家裏最大的鍋, 二十隻剛好放得入, 烚了三個小時.


大功告成!!!!

今早吃了一隻做早餐, 好好味呀!  只是糯米我可能鹽加得不夠, 淡了一點.  在這邊吃到有綠豆饀的鹹肉糉, 好感動啊!

  5. Few years ago taught Babe Dearest how to wrap dumplings and since then did it once more... THAT IS IT... hahahaha....
    Saw a sago sweet dumpling, suddenly wanted to try that ...
    [版主回覆06/14/2013 20:55:50]Actually W only likes to eat the nonya dumplings from his mom so he has so far only eaten ONE dumpling, luckily the kids still give me face and ate a couple each. I have to give away to my colleagues and there are still some left in the fridge. So I don't know when I'll do this again. Talking about sweet dumplings, I'm very tempted to try making 冰糉again. I failed last year because I used the wrong flour. See if I have the mood this weekend.
