Singapore River Safari 河川生態園

昨天帶了囝囝們去新開的River Safari (河川生態園).

River Safari is the newest addition to Wildlife Reserves Singapore’s portfolio of award-winning parks. Nestled between Singapore’s two award-winning wildlife parks – Singapore Zoo and Night Safari – River Safari offers an unforgettable adventure inspired by the world’s most iconic rivers. This $160-million attraction features state-of-the-art exhibit design as well as the world's largest freshwater aquarium. Housing one of the world’s largest collections of freshwater fauna, the park features over 6,000 animals including 40 threatened species. And that includes Singapore’s resident giant pandas, Kai Kai and Jia Jia.

Take a leisurely stroll and meander through the park on an exploratory river adventure of the Mississippi, Congo, Nile, Ganges, Murray, Mekong and Yangtze rivers. With the pristine Upper Seletar Reservoir as a backdrop, River Safari is also home to the Giant Panda Forest, Squirrel Monkey Forest and the enchanting Amazon Flooded Forest.

之前沒看過資料, 以為也是去看動物. 原來是不一樣的, 裏面主要介紹世界七大河的心態.  因為是介紹河, 所以很多魚看, 動物反而很少, 大部份展覽都是隔着玻璃看淡水魚. 不過最大的吸引處是有熊猫看 (雖然在海洋公園已經看過好多次).

那七大河呢? Mississippi, Congo, River Nile, Ganges, Murray, Mekong and Yangtze.

非洲剛果河(Congo River) 是全球最深的河.

非洲的侏儒鱷魚, 皮太厚太硬, 沒有人會捕殺的, 所以面皮厚也有好處.

 養熊猫少點錢都不行,看牠一天吃多少. 

 熊猫嘉嘉比較怕醜, 總是躲到角落去.

午餐在園內唯一餐廳食, 餐廳內有拉麵和竹筒飯套餐, 也有前菜小菜, 包和鍋貼等. 我們叫了兩份拉麵餐, 鍋貼和四個熊猫包.  Daddy居然叫了四個包, 他以為是像外面賣細細個的豆沙包, 買四個有特價, 就叫了四個.可是熊猫包每個都有我掌心大, 吃一個已經半飽了. 不過, 這包是這餐裏最好吃的.  下次去我看只叫包吃就好了, 那拉麵, 鍋貼等都好難食呀.

食飽就去坐船,要額外買票的, 大人S$5, 小童S$3.

在人工河道上看河畔的阿馬遜河流域的動物, 不過烈日當空下大部份動物都躲起來睡, 很難找到牠們.

River Safari 占地蠻小的, 如果沒停下來吃午餐,應該兩個小時就能走完了. 動物園比較好東西看, 隨時可花上一天.  但這裏好處是大部份時間都有瓦遮頭的, 不會曬到儍.
