Scones

今日好忙呀!

下個星期要飛日本公幹, 所以要先作準備.

每次去公幹前都會好忙, 要預備家裏食物, 為小朋友預備我不在時他們的茶點, 自己行李反而會是最後才打點,

一早陪細佬去上TumbleTots (Playgroup), 下雨天只有細佬一個去上堂.  四個老師對一個小朋友, 細佬都有點不知所措, 點解冇朋友仔呢?

上完堂又要去街市和超市買夠兩個星期的餸, 填滿整個雪柜.

食完晏, 稍作休息, 開始整scones.  今次是大仔落order的, 所以一次過焗一大盆, 可以放冰格慢慢食.

今次整得幾滿意, 雖然距離以前在英國時吃的還是差一點.

食譜取自Rachel Yau 的yogurt scone.




雪柜還剩下啲yogurt, 本來想用來搓包包, 但心有餘而力不足, 太攰嘞.

今天晚上有客到, 焗爐裏焗緊燒肉, 用新方法整, 希望成功.

  2. Have a good trip in Japan!!!  Babe Dearest loves scones, but too fattening for me (but then again, with my size, everything is too fattening)
    [版主回覆03/22/2010 17:14:00]Thanks!  I feel that scones aren't that fattening on its own, judging from the butter content.  They are fattening when eaten with cream and jam but how can anyone resist such heavenly taste!

  3. I still not successful in makeing scone. It is so tough for me. And I love scone very much!
    [版主回覆03/22/2010 17:12:00]Actually my scones still don't have the right texture, but this batch is the best so far.  Scones are tricky to make.  I miss the scone in UK so much.

  4. eating scone without butter, it doesn't seem right!
    [版主回覆03/22/2010 17:44:00]I've never eaten scones with butter.  I only eat them with jam in Singapore simply because I'm too lazy to whip cream.  But I love them with clotted cream and jam when I was in the UK.
